This unique product goes beyond the common sandwiching or bonding of a print on to acrylic. Images are printed directly to the material, creating a semi-transparent “canvas” that stands proud of the backboard and wall mount onto which it is fixed by means of four sturdy wall fixing metal chrome studs.
Each mounted, highly collectable, print is produced to order. The prints are laser-etched with unique edition numbers and text as required. Sleek padded presentation boxes are also supplied as standard with limited editions.
Acrylic prints are very durable. The printing process creates a layer of long lasting ink. The inks are inkjet printed directly to the reverse of the acrylic and cured in place using ultra violet light. The inks are light stable to a level that exceeds normal art printing processes by some margin.
This unique Acrylic Print format combines “best-in-class” material, build and picture quality to produce a stunning leading edge contemporary design that sets new standards in the home décor market.
Light interacts with the images, creating an amazing, almost 3-dimensional effect. The process is particularly effective for the display of monochrome or minimalist images as the white background is replaced by the crystal clear background of the acrylic, giving a feeling of perpetual depth.
Edge finish – 10mm thickness, flame polished by hand with a 60 degree bevel edge to give a soft frame to the whole acrylic print.
Backboard - acrylic backboards are hard 3mm thick gloss piece of white acrylic, the same size as the acrylic print.
Wall mount - acrylic wall mounts complete the piece of wall art. The wall mount provides a luxurious contemporary presentation for the print. The over-sized piece of coloured acrylic is 75mm larger all around the picture and set 18mm from the wall.
