The Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon, Warwickshire is hosting a special Sci-Fi Weekend Event as part of their current exhibition, Sci-Fi at the Movies, - showcasing the most popular and iconic superheroes and villains.
Come and meet The Doctor, along with other Sci-Fi celebrities and some of your favourite Sci-Fi and superhero characters, in a fun filled family Sci-Fi weekend at the Heritage Motor Centre.
Celebrity guests include Colin Baker the 6th Doctor Who, Mark Silk, the voice actor in Star Wars for Aks Moe plus Rusty Goffe who played Jawa in Star Wars Episode IV will be attending on Saturday. Whilst on Sunday, stars include Mike Edmunds who played an EWOK, Kenny Baker who played R2D2 and Rusty Goffe will all be there to meet visitors.
There will be the chance to meet the celebrity guests, get an autograph and even some photos.
On both days there will be collectors displays, free children’s crafts, fancy dress competition, trade stands, inflatables and story telling, along with Wizardry Workshops from the Creaky Cauldron, where you can make wands and learn the art of witchcraft!
Hollywood Heroes Sci-Fi characters will be wandering the crowd and entry also includes entry to the Museum and the Sci-Fi at the Movies Exhibition, giving a unique opportunity to see original artifacts, costumes and replica models from your favourite Sci-Fi movies – you can even watch some of your movies in our very own cinema!
Over the weekend there will be an attempt at the Guinness World Record for the largest Light Sabre battle. So if you have a Light Sabre bring it along, or make one on the day and be part of this awesome attempt.
The Wizardry Workshops will be run by the Creaky Cauldron’s of Stratford upon Avon. They offer an experience into the weird and wonderful world of wizards, witches, spells and potions. There will be the chance to create wands and spells and even see your spells go up in smoke.
Fancy dress competition for all children so find your best Sci-Fi or superhero costume and you run the chance of winning a special Sci-Fi prize.
