To celebrate Star Wars Day, the producers of The Big Bang Theory worked alongside Lucasfilm to create a very special Star Wars episode....

"The Proton Transmogrification" saw a recreation of the Dagobah set by Lucasfilm VFX team and included the loan of a lightsaber for a scene in which Arthur Jeffries aka Professor Proton appears to Sheldon as a Jedi Master.

Bob Newhart, the actor playing Arthur Jeffries/Professor Proton said this to The Hollywood Reporter on wearing the iconic robes:

"Once you get into the actual robes, it has a strange sensation to it," he said with a laugh of the experience. "I'm about as far away as Alec Guinness as you can get! I don't know how wise any of Arthur's suggestions are, but it's great to play off Jim."
