Pop Star and Sci Fi Fan Michael Jackson dies at 50 in Los Angeles

Legendary "King of Pop" Michael Jackson, who combined his singing talents, eclectic persona and ever-changing image to win over music fans around the world, died today from cardiac arrest. He was 50.

Paramedics were called to the singer's home around midday local time on Thursday after he stopped breathing and suffered a suspected cardiac arrest.

He was rushed by ambulance to a local medical centre, but his death was announced shortly afterwards.

Lets hope he has gone to a better place.
